If you're willing to have a more analytical discussion about anime, mind if I ask what about darling in the franxx you don't like? I could wax philosophical about a lot of the good stuff the show has going on but it looks a lot like i'm just dickriding cute girls in robots tbqh

ill keep it short cause ive already talked about it on stream: bad unoriginal plot, the few interesting parts of the world get no focus, least subtle show of all time, awful pandering throughout.

on the world getting no focus, the world builds around you through establishing shots or lines characters say, it doesn't spend time on developing the world but all the pieces to latch on to are there (which is something I really love about it, personally)

this is something I just flat out disagree with, the show spends A LOT of time trying to "world build", the fights are awful, and it spends half the time screaming in your face THE CHILDREN WILL NOT BECOME ADULTS THEY ARE CLONES AND CHILD SOLDIERS while building nothing of it

I think the fights are excellent personally and well directed but that's a personal take so I can't really change your opinion regarding it, moreso just wanted to show why someone (like myself) would actually enjoy it.

my problem is that almost none of the klaxosaurs have any identity whatsoever and they all end in the same way while and while not looking awful does not do anything to be visually interesting
