60mhz hum? could make sure you keep the cabling as far away from monitors/pc as possible, try plugging everything into the same wall outlet, or try a ground lift device

basically what it sounds like you did was give yourself more gain on your mic, which is why you are hearing more noise - it's picking it up even better. you need a ground to eliminate electromagnetic interference from devices/lights/etc

just use a noise filter and compressor in OBS bro

just make sure to put the compressor after the noise filter because the compressor will make the ambient noise louder
