You don’t need a pop filter - just have the mic angled so that the air that comes out of your mouth when you make “p”s and “b”s goes past the mic instead of into it.

Also keep in mind that you’ll need an extra XLR cable if you get an in-line preamp like the CL. Usually they’ll come with one but it never hurts to make sure.

If you already have a 2i2 you don’t need a cloudlifter. The 2i2 has phantom power built in for mics

Cloudlifter doesn’t supply phantom power to the mic. It takes phantom power from the mixer and uses it to add very clean gain so you don’t need as much gain from the mixer.

I have the exact same setup and the cloudlifter was definitely needed. Otherwise you would be turning the gain all the way up.
