I'm against arduinos/ucf only if we're forced to use the version that makes dash back too easy to the point that it's done by accident. I'm not opposed to a version that makes tilt-turns normal like vanilla.
my tldr thoughts on UCF/Arduinos UCF should be standard since it will be used at 99% of places therefor arduino solutions should adapt to it, not the reverse

Why can't ucf just be an optional thing like on the newest netplay? If one person wants to play with ucf on then they can do that and the other person can't complain since they have the same accessibility to it so they choose whether or not to play on ucf.

Because Vanilla Melee is still dope dude. At my weeklys we don’t stress over ucf *although it is a topic to do now* I said as a homage to the good ol days of playing melee now we’ve gotten so advance as players that every little tiny thing is a big big deal .

Mainly because vanilla melee/gamecube controllers were designed for this level of consistency. Melee controllers were designed with little kids in mind and if we aren't goign to legalize other controllers something has to give.
