Dont want to play if in tournaments that punish me for winning. Most likely not playing if it doesn't get changed.

i agree that there's an issue, but you can't really expect the summit team to know axe was going to upset m2k
If youre making a format where it fucks everything up if the 2nd seed wins over 1 seed, why even play it at all?

fair enough, i suppose it makes more sense for an invitational with 16 highly skilled players to run a straight double elim rather than rr

4 RR pools -> top 8, 2 make it out of each pool (1 W 1 L) would avoid this situation while guar 3 sets instead of 2. Probs pref over just DE
