nah in some matchups (char or player specific ones) striking first can be a huge adv imo. port is only noticable in a few select ones

I agree w/ the first, but think port is noticeable in almost every matchup. Def more than striking is.

i disagree, and more importantly, so do almost everyone else. the amount of people who RPS for port is incredibly small

port preference is pretty different among different people, eg armada/m2k often want p1. P3 is generally pref vs p1 over p4 vs 1 as well imo

they can have that preference, but that doesn't mean it's correct to prefer it

i think starting position is much more important for win% in many matchups over port priority tbh also peach wants lower port vs fox 100%

Don't disagree with this, but neutral start is becoming more popular makes port 4 unambiguously better in most matchups.

there isnt proper rulesets for neutral start + port priority - despite switching does 1 always get the higher one? etc

You probably get 140'd here but I don't really understand what you mean. Does 1 player always get the higher port? Despite switching what?

for neutral start rules you have to constantly switch ports depending on the stage
