people definitely say the equivelent though, "x is washed" etc. We have longer careers so the terms differ but the toxicity is the same

I guess I meant the threat of actual retirement is more real in those games than in ours, but I agree the toxicity is still there.

yeah =/ the worse end is that even if you have an amazing year overall, you're only as good as your last weekend to 99% of the community.

in general when a lot of people who don't actively compete but still watch its common to have high toxicity/low sympathy, lol def has that -

for smash it really only affects those who go headline majors imo, since we often have 30-50k people who only really watch during majors
