(Of course Hugs obviously has. I should untag him.) I'm talking to you, people complaining about format/fact that Melee is one of 9 games.

2 games had TV deals. 5 more had devs chip in a pot bonus (SFV had both). MvC3 had the donation drive. For all I know, Melee had nothing.

Unless Nintendo struck some kind of deal where Melee was allowed to stay at Evo, Melee was there for one reason and one reason only: Us.

So if you guys want to let the last truly grassroots "esport" fade away, sure, we dont need Evo. But that will be the beginning of the end.

Melee doesn't have anything on the scale of Evo by itself. It might never After all, esports is marketing, & our game is old enough to drive

We've gotten so far from so little, and to see some entitled shits suggest we throw it all away for a few more games makes my blood boil.

No to mention, Bo5 shouldnt have a huge effect on set outcome. The extra games are on stages that would be banned in Bo3 & usually split 1-1

this is pretty damn wrong, its very rare that a matchup has equally strong counterpicks and char cps factor in as well.
