Theory: EVO won't bring back Melee this year. Normally a dumb move, but they'll bank on Dragon Ball FighterZ to make up for the loss.

I offered 3/5 and did doubles on Sunday after singles were done and the numbers still dropped over 60%. Not so sure Melee wants CEO anymore.
well the saturday spot + having to "earn" bo5 (i dont remember how but it wasnt offer upfront right) leaves a sour taste in peoples mouths

I do agree that the whole "you gotta earn it" vibe we get from FGC in general leaves a bad taste. Since we've been earning it all for years

You guys already know why it's impossible to fit two smash games on Sunday. That's nearly 7-8 hours at an event with multiple communities.

we all want to go to CEO but its not a given as it is for the fgc, it has to be more valuable to the avg player than the other tournaments
