you dont even get a punish, ur usually - buffer jump takes 9 frames and gives a punish if ur gonna rely on marth being that bad, or sh nair
shine is very hard to hit and get a conversion, your best purely defensive option against grab tho (shine->jump/wd back), and dash attack

is ok if you think theyre gonna bait the spotdodge. Jab (into jab 2 sometimes) is the most underused, but is easy to dd grab and gets CCd

overall spotdodge is still your best overall option though, thats just how bad the situation is
