If youre really interested tho, mewtwo was the only real char that had huge range but without crazy disjoints (sword, jiggs etc)
His big hurtbox made the moves win if you read their timing, but lose to already active moves. They completely removed all nuance and flavor

That nuance is a big part of why he's bad in Melee. It means he'll trade in a lot of situations and he's not a character built for it

You would have to front load a lot of power onto his moves and he would end up either really polarizing or still awful. Worse designed imo
