yeah not very. if you can avoid introducing ~300$ worth of barrier of entry 15 years into a games lifespan you should within reason imo

well, my point is that there are already plenty of cost barriers, and they do change as you "get higher level"
yes exactly, and thats the main thing holding us back as a community. thats why this is far worse then itd be for most communities.
