yeah not very. if you can avoid introducing ~300$ worth of barrier of entry 15 years into a games lifespan you should within reason imo

you know better than anyone, to be competitive at melee you need WAY more than that to spend on tickets

melee has a weird barrier to entry curbe

in theory a new player can get a crt + wii + controller for like $50. OTOH once you start srsly competing

you have flights hotels entrance fees etc that are huge. And you have to ear those before seeing any retun
