I still get more questions about the game from 1 random twitch chatter thats never been to a tournament than the "pro" commentators combined
To say that smash commentators put in a even atenth of the work that other top esports commentators do is straight up lying.

many high-end productions for esports do the heavy lifting prep work for the casters. what tafo does to prep is rare to find in any game atm

To be fair, commentators in other games have something to gain by being a better commentator (a job/paycheck) while smash really doesn't.
