For the first 6 frames (for Falco, different for other characters depending on their stats), there is 0 difference.
when testing this I regurarly had Y values of 0.1+ and this also affects dash speed

I've never had more than 0.06 vertical offset on an East or West notch. Was the controller not calibrated maybe?

this is when dash dancing as well, not holding it specifically to get straight input
