finished yorknew arc in hunterxhunter, definitely better than before, but the pacing and buildup / payoff ratio is still shit

what of it is not standard shonen? im TWENTY FIVE hours in and no, "more deaths/blood" =/= unique

everyone except gon use mostly tricks and tech to beat opponents, rather than powering up mid-battle
