finished yorknew arc in hunterxhunter, definitely better than before, but the pacing and buildup / payoff ratio is still shit

HeY this fight that was built up for 2 arcs and had fucking prophecies about it just ENDs cuz u know gotta move on to next arc

Honestly the real problem was introducing the genei ryodan in full so early (relatively) in the story

and the main characters running around/away doing jack shit. also gon/killua gathering money for 15 eps then for it not to matter

"how much does the game cost?" "like 30 billion" *works super hard to amass like 80 mil* "Well that was fucking pointless"

i get that the main characters are supposed to be retarded but its still insulting to the reader, we knew theyd fight the spider
