TLDR: No real mention of the fact that the 16 Euro (!!) entry fee for Melee singles did not go towards the prize pot.
it was unannounced for a LONG time and on Smash.gg it still says - "TBA". On official - "prize pot sponsored by pressfire"

They TECHNICALLY didn't do anything wrong, but I know me and literally everyone I talked to did not realize this. Shady imo.

Event Fee pretty much always means it goes directly to prize money, "sponsored" prize pot is easy to take as bonus, not total.
