I think you just have to accept the fact that the scenes are very, very different...
like it or not, literally every competition gets to this point once they grow big enough.

That's actually not true. I know that poker really hasn't ever gotten there for their biggest event.

The WSOP is their "Evo" and people mingle with top players there very casually from what I've seen.
