ceo doesnt need smash. smash needs events like ceo and evo. you can only go so far without the support from the FGC as a whole
EVO - arguable. CEO - definitely not. Look at the entrant numbers.

yes because back then we needed it, now we don't, at ceo smash was over half of all entrants iirc, we're fine

that was 4 years ago. Smash now receives over a thousand entrants at money tournaments. The scene is huge now
