In a discussion with Zero and M2K @TBH4 I brought up the Brawl 2 point.
Zero protested at first but M2K went:

@L3ff3n@Samericus Shield grab being nerfed translates to viable grounded shield pressure. That was a rarity in brawl
@VaBengal @Samericus grab ranges being nerfed is a bigger buff to shield than it is a nerf. also shield stun is FAR less than in Brawl.
