I dont understand what you mean. I stated "I can understand it if you're a child but some of you should realize this fast", with the 'some of you' being people who are not children. With children it cant helped, I agree.
I think we more or less agree on the fact that people shouldnt look up to top players, but in reality celebrity worship is deeply woven into our society on all levels. I wish we could change it but it won't happen for a LONG time. That's why top players can still "fail"

Celebrity culture is not necessarily bad if it allows for storylines to be created and for people to get even more invested into whatever sport or game they watch. I think it's one of the things that allowed competitive Smash to be as enduring as it is compared to other FG's. 1/2
But we have reached a point where that celebrity culture has become celebrity worship. And those who partake in worshiping have trapped themselves into believing that the players they worship adhere to high moral standards. This is why these revelations have been painful. 2/2
