If Zack got a 5-year ban (which he accepted) that could mean that what Zack did was possibly fucked up. I respect that they want to keep it secret, maybe also for Zack's sake. But imo the conduct panel should not be issuing advice on bans or punishment. It should be up to the TOhttps://twitter.com/SSBConductPanel/status/1277290996871675906 …

The Conduct Panel is good for objectively investigating cases. This is practical for TO who wanna make a good decision. What is controversial is the punishment they advise. Leave the punishment to the TOs. They can decide if they consider the conduct bannable and to what extent

TOs need the liberty to make a decision based on what they value in a tournament. No one knows who the panel is, they are unknown faces and as such hard to trust. It is easier for players to trust their TOs because they know their TOs and they have an idea of what TOs value.

Pretty sure TOs do know whos in the conduct panel, at least to some degree. The punishment IS left to the TO, its clearly just a recommendation...

The locals in canada that let ally attend did exactly this, and others could do it too.
