They both look really cool, amazingly well animated, but this is yet another case where Arcsys is dropping the ball marketing wise. I feel like for new players, the first thing people will catch on to is the characters personality and playstyle. Granblue trailers while not perfect did a MUCH better job of this, making a lot of people go "I wanna be a X main" before they even knew if they liked the game.
The game isn't coming out until 2021, just take your time and show things off when they're ready, instead of ruining people's first impression of the game.
I think Arcsys knows that GG isn't so popular outside the diehard fighting game fans so they emphasize raw gameplay over characterisation in trailers because they know that's what ultimately makes or breaks a main for someone
instead of making GG - rollback on granblue/dragonball was the move. we have 2 AMAZING games but we cannot play this shit bcs hardcore bad netplay, this is the saddest thing ever. wasted games.
I think the no voice over is the worst part, it just feels so empty. Everything else is great the way it is, if anything I hope they'll do another round of character overviews like they did for the beta

Im guessing the voice lines are delayed cause of Covid restrictions in time for the trailer ff14 had to delay a content patch with VA recording issues hnder Covid being one of the many issues that held it back Tho yeah its pretty run of the mill arcsys barebones trailers
