I don't wanna hear any character slander in Ultimate any more Melee Roy is a worse character than 95% of the Ult roster and Zain is still beating top players on their mains with him You have no excuses

i mean of course, a better player can win in a bad matchup, but the simpler the game the less you see this and in Ult the top players are by no means dominating their opponents even in top 64 or 128 (which is outplaying someone with a similar level character usually) so -
outside of matchup inexperience I have doubts that a top player in ultimate could play a bottom tier and do the thing top top melee players do to slightly worse but still top melee players

Yeah that's what I mean. The ability for you personally to outplay in Melee is very high, whether you're in top 64 r1 or you're playing Zain's Roy. It's smaller than Melee, but the ability for Leo to outplay in his top 64 r1 is similar to that when he's playing a Nairo low tier.

So I'm saying that Zain Roy shows you can beat good players in Melee with a bad character, and similarly you can beat good players with a "bad" character in Ult, regardless of the relative value of the skill gap across the two games. Because the character gap in Ult is smaller.
