I don't wanna hear any character slander in Ultimate any more Melee Roy is a worse character than 95% of the Ult roster and Zain is still beating top players on their mains with him You have no excuses

You say this like getting spotdodge utilted isn't getting outplayed
not reactable and very limited counterplay and punish- its an "outplay" in the same way a very basic rps is a lot of the time. Thing is that its massive in impact (kills are found in very few ways) yet a very shallow interaction

Yeah I agree. I do still think, though, that Ultimate has similar potential to "better player" a worse opponent as it does to "better character" an even strength opponent playing a low tier. If that makes sense. So the comparison to Melee is still valid.

i mean of course, a better player can win in a bad matchup, but the simpler the game the less you see this and in Ult the top players are by no means dominating their opponents even in top 64 or 128 (which is outplaying someone with a similar level character usually) so -
