"lagless melee is worse because it makes reaction tech chasing too easy" is not the take i expected to wake up to this afternoon
i mean in general less lag isn't always better, if things are designed to be barely reactable (throws/overheads in reg fgs, techs/spotdodge/roll/illusion for melee), just lowering the input laf significantly from the intended can change things for the worse imo

Agreed. Reaction techchasing is right at the edge of human ability in vanilla, and the game would be less interesting if it were easier and multiple characters could pseudo-wobble off a knockdown on flat ground.
