Sheik is definitely, 100% at least high tier. Probably on the bottom half though but yeah the more I play her the more convinced I am

a high tier on paper that you have to put effort in is a mid or low tier in ultimate in tournament though.. the ways to practice in ultimate are not good enough and there's too many matchups to assume high level proficiency in most scenarios.

i definitely think shiek has a good top/high tier MU spread in theory but that doesn't equal great tournament results as we've already seen. shes obviously not bad but shes not worth playing if you're trying to win majors.

I mean I agree with everything you say, but I do disagree with the not worth playing her part. Not worth maining I can agree with for sure but she's a good counter pick character for certain MU's that you know you've already practiced enough of ( snake, roy, zss etc )

this is the loss of opportunity cost here - you have not practiced those matchups enough to never have to play them again if you wanna beat the best in those, and every minute spent on those is not spent on playing a character that could cover all mus or counter those easier.
