Thoughts after 25 or so hours with the closed beta: Guilty Gear Strive is a fun, good game that needs to be delayed for another year to reach its potential. Lots of interesting ideas that need a TON more polish and some outright awful design decisions such as UI/Lobby.
The saddest part is how absolutely terrible of a look this beta was for this game - sadly many people that were hyped up from the announcement at EVO or of rollback netcode are now no longer interested. Fighting game developers seem to always ruin it for themselves.
I truly believe that the game will be good even if it doesn't get delayed, but man is they're definitely not making it easy to say that with how this was handled. Might make a YouTube rant about all this.

The lobby is gross as hell, but what makes the UI so bad? In your opinion, I didn't play so I'm genuinely asking.
It always confuses me how devs get the impression that people want all this weird/completely un-needed design choices, people just want to get in and play the game lol
The UI makes me really sad I loved GG Xrd Rev 2's UI and menu design so much and it just is pathetic now
They just need to fix the gatling mechanics and the ui, and add some more lobby options and it's great imo
They should definitely consider doing more betas to test not only the rollback but gameplay changes. I think they should try to fine tune this as much as possible. I heard an arcade version was being developed so if they can do loktests none stop that would be good
