I haven't played the game so I'm not making a judgement, just trying to see the reasoning Can't you pretty much do this same damage and meter build in SFV with a max damage jump-in and a crush counter? That's essentially what you did here isn't it? A DP punish too
Thing with steet fighter is that all of those need specific starters with low hp (vtrigger) AND meter from last round. This is easily done as the first neutral win and it has a lot more branches (counterhit, anti air, overhead and throw bait all lead into the same dmg)

Throw also leads into big boy setups and massive corner push, whereas in SF they don't lead to strong oki for anyone outside of a few in the corner

Yeah the oki was the one thing I noticed the most when watching this clip. I think in SF it's doable with with round start 1/3 meter but only on low health characters, so I see your point. If the meta for this game is pushed far enough for it to be bo5 that'd be cool
