Disagree, love mid-set coaching as long as it’s kept short (this event had a 1 minute cap). I understand as a player it’s different, but as a spectator I love seeing that short rest/coaching session between games; who do the players trust for advice? It reminds me of Boxing.https://twitter.com/TSM_Leffen/status/1226570738829799424 …

In an ideal world I'm open to it, but in a practical sense its simply extremely unfair to people who travel or are up n comers.

Fighting games are about adaptation; if you lose because your opponent has a coach and you don’t, it’s either time to level up so they can’t stop you or get a coach of your own. There’s no correct answer, but I think coaching is good for spectator/tournament scene.

Not getting a coach when it is an option available to you isnt unfair it's called being unprepared.

again, in the case where that is possible, fair enough. For people who travel out of region though that is very unlikely, most players cant take themselves to many majors, let alone someone just for coaching. Once you add language barriers etc...

If you can not afford a coach, one will be appointed to you by the FGC gods themselves.
