Tekkens engine is a VERY unique one, and because of how much legacy there is left and that its 3D means that it won't be for everyone, even if they go through the first initial rough learning curve. Saying Git Gud to any critiscm just makes you look like a Dark Souls fanboy.
I don't think I've ever said "you're just too bad" at someone expressing a problem they have with melee, a game just as hard (imo harder) as tekken. Sometimes you don't see the solution yet, so tell em, and other times its a subjective (a legit) complaint. Git gud is never right
Yeah but you tend to complain about games for attention from your fanbase. I bet when you first learned melee you weren't complaining about it, you were just having fun and learning. Experts in one game seem to be baffled when their skills aren't completely transferable....

I'm pretty sure that majority of people that talk about just how HARD Tekken is are the same people who say Smash doesn't qualify as a fighting game despite having never played it.
That's true, but don't be discouraged by the number of moves ! Not every character will use 100% of their moves and a lot of them are shared (for example d/f 1, d/f 2 or u/f 4, those moves serve the same purpose for every character), they are called generics

The FGC in general has that problem.. they don't want good features and good online (mostly people that play Japanese games). In the German FGC discord, asking for rollback netcode is seen as a meme, even though it is objectively better. They just want to justify their games.
