Got a lot better today so thats nice but man its a hard game to recommend unless you already know you love 3d games with a ton of tekken specific legacy mechanics. Online is trash, and tutorial and general learning experience is awful. Games still fun when it works tho.
I'll give it another chancebut but I'm not sure if I'll stream that. Tekken randoms are hilariously toxic for some reason, legit makes Ultimate chat look okay sometimes LMAO.
Tekken is definitely a game that you need experience more than anything with characters since every char hs like 70+ moves and learning all the movesets is completely unrealistic. There's a couple important fundies that make playing the game way less daunting for new players.
Ngl Tekken is prob the least beginner-friendly fighter available rn but I can send you some of the tools I used to improve rapidly to the point where it was just a matter of fighting characters instead of fighting the game and chars. Def just block those ppl tho. Tekken is hard

Tekken is a good game but imo super inaccessible and not fun to learn in the beginning. I'm sure its more fun once one gets the hang of it but having to learn movesets and frame data of a billion similar-looking moves + unintuitive movement makes the game a chore to learn to me

I've been learning too and it's a very difficult game. Fortunately the tekken community was nice to me. I agree that the tutorial and general learning experience is awful though. All the learning I did, I did it while watching youtube videos.
This is pretty accurate. The learning curve is not even a curve, it's like a big doorstep and once you're over it the pieces starts to fall together. It's a fun game, but man it's not forgiving at all compared to other fighters.
Trust me when I tell you.. Expect to lose and get blue balled 4 rematches also use punishment training 4 every character... Makes it easier to win matches
