Playing offline Ultimate let me play the game for almost 4 hours before hating my life and wanting to delete the game from existence. Big improvement today.

You need to play online if you want to be competitive unless you live in a godlike region
If you can't stand playing online then quit trying to play it competitively IMO, it's sadly needed because of MUs

i mean obviously i can stand it and it's the only way i've been improving apart from playing against friends and in locals, but even in elite smash it's pretty frustating eventually :/

The lag, cheap tricks (spammers), and randomness (sometimes match ups have items and smash meter on) is annoying. I recommend creating an arena for randoms to play with.

It’s def possible to improve offline in an ass region tho right? Just takes a long ass time. Traveling a few times a year to learn Waco mu’s & playing with friends offline as much as possible.
