sadly there really isnt a solid answer in this game to fadeback aerials, abusing that is like 80% of neutral =/ really wish this game had decent approach options

Yeah, the only option is to basically let them corner themself, and then when they can’t trade stage control for safety anymore, punish definitely huge advantage for palu in this scenario, I agree it would be cool to have better options here

But he was doing bairs at the same rhythm, many of these could have parried and even if he was scared to go for any parry attempt, Mario has fludd. Dabuz wasn’t approaching with them so fludd coulda pushed him far enough so wizzy got center or get a reaction from dabuz from fludd

Yeah fludd is a good answer too but in general you just have to let her trade stage control for safety, which fludd kinda just accelerates the process on

Yeah fludd really isnt that strong of an option since palu has side b and neutral b to interrupt and it charges far slower than squirtles watergun. If you could edgeguard palu consistently it would be a decent risk reward tho but welLLl

Yeah, but fludd isnt cancelable until frame 20 and if it trades (both people use at the same time) you take 0 and mario takes 20% - and shielding it isnt a victory since its -2.

Ofc it's still fine to use as a mixup, but when you add palus insane recovery AND the fact that not everyone has fludd the problem becomes clear - when the main answer to defense it to use projectiles it doesn't make for a dynamic neutral game. My post wished for approach options

Which almost every other fighting game has far more of than the brawl games. The games have always severely lacked whiff punishes.
