It's cause kids hate grinding nowadays leff. Just like Ultimate players
Also I forgot to mention - EXP share being forced on really ruins the feeling of progression. Really don't understand that decision at all

They wanted to take the level grinding out of the game but imo it should be optional because alot of people actually like it.

Never felt the need to grind in any Pokemon game, ever. Just the trainer battles have always been more than enough.

Out of all your gripes with the game,this is one I can get behind, it's so stupid, it doesn't feel like I have a team of pokemon, instead it just feels like I have one beefy boy and a bunch of Pokémon I literally don't need to use

This is my exact problem with it. I want to feel some sort of connection to my other pokemon. That's the whole point right?

The EXP share being on isn't actually too bad, the level curve is actually better than the 3DS games with the share off. The problem is the usual lack of thought put into opposing teams.

Why not just play underleveled then? It would be nice to have that option since Game Freak can't be bothered to add real difficulty options.
