I know everyone hates spot canceling in Ultimate but with the way I think the meta is going to progress I'm starting to believe it's necessary. Offense / set play is just going to get stronger and stronger. I could be wrong, but that's currently my take.

Ultimate has a lot of set play once you hit someone's shield that really hasn't been explored, so many options to be covered, etc. I'm working on script to go over it.
I 100% agree that shield pressure can be improved a lot, but in neutral its more often the attacker that will do runup shield, not the defender
