You can play games for money just like anything else in the world, don't mean it is the best financial decision. A *very* small percentage of people can actually make a living from games alone, just like sports for example. At the end of the day, peeps should follow their dreams

People should be able to follow their dreams, thats exactly why people need to be able to pay rent while playing smash full time. We're not asking for million dollar prize pools.

It’s so funny how many people are missing the point. Smash generates more than enough revenue and viewership to facilitate top players making a decent living, the issue is that the profit “sharing” is not balanced

i think what theyre trying to say is that you dont go into video games for the sake of money. should they advocate for more money in this job? yea sure. but they mean people should only get into it as a job bc of personal enjoyment due to how financially insecure it can be.
