Why don't tournaments try to crowdfund big tournaments? I'm sure there are a lot of people including me that would drop 5 bucks or more to a community pot, would make it way more interesting.

cause Valve is not Nintendo and they put an in-game Battle Pass, then add 25% of the earnings to the prizepool. Yet Big House stream got like 70K viewers and Dota 2 TI got around 260K (don't know the peaks)...the difference is big but Big House prizepool still pathetic
