100%. Nintendo doesn’t do shit for us and we shouldn’t value their sponsorship over a good experience for players and viewers. Create incentives and encourage people to donate towards pot bonuses.

if you are pushed away from going to a major by spending 5 or 10 more dollars i dont know what to tell you. its not that much more for an individual but adds up for the hundreds of ppl attending

Raise entry fees and let fans raise the pot bonus via bits, subs and direct donos during the stream or something. It's not that hard.

That'd take away from BTS/VGBC's profit margin. Something else needs to be done in reality but I've been a fan of this idea for a while. The sponsors like GrubHub that was on stream all weekend, I imagine they contribute to venue/organization fees/profit for putting on the event

my favorite part is the part where we have functioning compendiums but none of the options include donating to the prize pool but we gotta have crews! :)
