Guys the better you get at ANY fighting game the more you will realize commitment to ANY option that is punishible (read as 99% of options) is worse than trying to bait your opponent to a commitment and punishing them. That's high level and it's defensive in nature.

Fighting games are about risk reward and reading your opponent. Nothing but the most broken fighting games let you get significant reward for something that isnt punishable or stuffable. This ridiculous myth that all fgs are defensive at high level is just hilarious.

Like I said I think I will agree with you when you explain what you mean, like the first half of this tweet but the basic disagreement is a disagreement of definitions and since you are the better player I would defer to your definition of defensive play.
