? I'm agreeing with zero that i think commentary has an influence on how supported and/or liked a player can be, and can influence their future success. I've both experienced the good and the bad from this, and seen it happen to others.

for example, if a commentator always praises player A, but says little or nothing good about player B by comparison, a new Twitch viewer may or may not be influenced by this.

The salt you get that you see as normal is abnormal for anyone else. So yeah mental toll is heavier when you're not acclimated vs. just viewership numbers.
