Only entering when you're playing your best is pretty unrealistic dont you think? I cant remember the last time anyone was happy with how they played unless they won.

Well, it was just a figure of speech. I meant like, if youre rusty,or your controller is slightly off, or you are a little sick/jetlagged, or you have a rough bracket - anything that you know before the matches start that you know will impact u negatively but you could still play

I feel it's hard to quantify though, because genuine illnesses like Plups can be feigned when in reality they just don't feel like playing. And unfairly punishing illness seems bad too

Not dropping out = potentially placing in the money. You'll then argue "The payout sucks", however dropping out means you forfeit any chance at money. If you sacrifice so much to come here, may as well try to win a couple hundred bucks, even if you don't win it all.

Actually he will lose money in the long run because he will get a worse seeding in the future effectively making it harder to place money in the future. Dropping out is 100% the move here which sucks cuz it shouldnt be that way
