thanks! id appreciate it if you posted this publicly earlier next time so people have time to bring their own splitters.

I feel like these big tournaments spend weeks and weeks figuring out how everything is gonna work out, and then literally a couple days before the actual tournament itself, they finally decide to send out all the details... Everything shouldn’t be so last-second!

it's hard to plan sometimes since no matter what incentives we give out to early reg, 80% of our registrations come in the final 2 weeks. hotel block was only 20% filled at the beginning of aug, and in the 2nd to last week before the event, overbooked enough to add another hotel

I understand that, but I'm curious why you cant have two drafts of schedules made up and sent to top players for two expected entrants number (lets say ~500 and ~1000)?

Because people will miss their pool looking at the other schedule. Or incorrectly tweet / talk about the other schedule, causing public confusion Putting out more than one possible schedule is generally a (very) bad idea

Very much agree with this, avoiding possible miscommunications with schedules is paramount & still hard to get 100% correct). What Genesis does instead is to end registration earlier than other tournaments in order to make schedules earlier (but still take emergency reg)
