The only thing waiting will do is make the argument about whether or not we are just knee jerk reacting to Dabuz/Salem/Puppeh etc beating Leo with Hero, and people that have never gone to a tournament saying that he couldve shielded that Thwack.
Honestly the reason why I think the "wait and see" mentality is so big on twitter/reddit is because the average person doesn't actually play smash in tournaments or even seriously at all, much less understand top level smash. So reacting to the results is the only thing they know
"Wait and see" mentality to obvious problems is interesting especially when the people with this attitude are historically terrible at identifying said problems The spillover is that it will end up hurting Hero mains in the long run if in a years time ppl decide they want a ban.
The crowd mentality Reminds me of when Nairo making an upset with Ganondorf had everyone meming/believing he was top tier despite the obvious on point neutral game he played, or matchup unfamiliarity he was taking advantage of

Nobody reacted to MK until he became over-centralized and everybody one tricked him and Brawl died. Nobody reacted to Bayo and Smash 4 crashed and burned before Ult even launched.
Hero is no where near as banworthy as MK or Bayo (But butbut nut RNGGGGGGGGGGG)
