My new #1 hated thing about Hero apologists is calling people "weak" or "scared" competitors because we won't "just adapt" to Hero. Like yeah we are all so WEAK for not playing with items on, what are you scared of assist trophies??? Omegalulzers!!
The weak thing to me is realizing that Hero's design is not designed for competitive play, yet still thinking that we CANT BAN HIM because Sakurai made him. Sakurai and Nintendo has time and time again shown that they don't care for, or even outright dislike competitive smash.
WHEN DID I SAY WE CAN'T BAN HIM?! My argument has always been "you have a burden of proof. You're claiming we should ban him. Please present your argument and evidence." Yes. We've seen how he plays at locals and online. Other than that, there's no data you can hand me yet.
This is not a courtroom. There was never any proof to show that items or most stages were objectively not competitive in Ultimate. Using burden of proof as an argument is ridiculous.
Not trying to start anything here but Nintendo does show support and sometimes care about competitive smash if you see their other account @NintendoVS tweets about big moments happen they even partnered up with some specific events like CEO, EVO, Frostbite, Genesis, etc.
Too bad they didn't a good job on the online tho

I’m not saying hero shouldn’t be banned, but this reasoning is bad.
I’m under the impression that he won’t be banned because the board mainly makes decisions based off of results. With that unless the majority of the community is for it then he won’t be banned. Maybe there could be a special case for him but so far I don’t see it happening imo
Did they ban items and most stages because of results? Items and many stages were just considered banworthy from day 1 because of precedence from COMPETITIVE Smash. Just because the better player still typically wins doesn't mean it's healthy for competitive play.
