I sincerely hope Joker doesn't get nerfed just because Leo is better than everyone else. Not only is joker an entertaining character to watch but he is also exposing the ultimate players inability to adopt even basic countermeasures to the char who consistently wins the majors.
The amount of times Leo got 50% or a kill because the opponent didn't wait on the angel platform was ridiculous. Its the most basic thing to change yet it was seen like 5 times. Don't get me started on how predictably people recovered vs him or how many reactable side bs hit.
I know, theres a fuckton of characters so its hard to know every MU. The point is that Leo doesn't display even close to as such obvious flaws in MU knowledge as those who face him.
You actually get less invul after the spawn platform by waiting in Ultimate, so you’re not wasting more meter by doing it. I still agree though that taking a moment on the angle plat to mentally prepare for fighting Arsene is useful
Your invincibility lasts longer if you drop down immediately in this game.
But you can wait invincible on the plat even longer. You cannot act, but you wait out more of arsenes meter

Yeah, looking at Samsora vs Leo at Evo its clear adaptation is key. Leo is Samsora's Demon, but was able to do really well against him for most of Game 2 because of the adaptations. Marss beat him twice as SF, and Tweek nearly sent him packing twice
What got me a bit ''tilted'' was when Gluto was immediately getting off the angel platform vs Leo. Not only does waiting it out drain out Arsene, but it also adds a few precious seconds to charging waft. Might just be in-moment stress though.
Yeah I think he wanted to get into position asap, and reduce Joker's gauge by hitting him if possible
depending how much meter is left id rather use more invincibility time and have a better chance of puttin joker in disavantage and drain his meter this way than more platform time and less invincibility if meter almost out, il wait 2 perspectives
Plus if you hit him you have advantage and he loses way more meter
