The funniest part about Leo winning with Joker is seeing how much he exposes the others bad recovery habits + lack of their own offstage edgeguarding. Sure is crazy that you die earlier when hit offstage, better nerf so there's even less things to be good at :))))
I think complaining and wanting nerfs can be fine, hell I wanted olimar and other degen chars nuked, but when you combine constant whining about whoever won the latest tournament with almost no players actually grinding the game seriously it just becomes ridiculous.
Bro they gave a character who moves and attacks like Sheik, Ganons kill power. That's OD. I main this character now so yeah I think he should keep it.

i will admit though, it sucks when you have good recovery habits but still get edgeguarded because of how bad or lackluster the character's recovery is i suppose it's just a matter of picking a character that doesn't have a bad recovery at that point

Hard agree, he did this with Lucina too. Almost no one's edgeguarding game comes remotely close to his.
agree with both but joker can take a lot more risks offstage and cover a lot more options than any other char (than like pikachu) could.. lucinas can easily get reversed edgeguarded.

My problem is that Joker can take extreme actions to edgeguard and go deep as fuck with almost no risk coming back. Edgeguarding seems heavily unbalanced in this game because we got characters like him recovering from the bottom corner blastzones while Cloud can only go so far
Almost every character had a somewhat consistent way to edgeguard everyone one in those games. While now being offstage only truly matters in a few matchups. There's no haste to grab the ledge or anything. And I dont think 2 frames and ledge trapping are good answers
