Ofc seedings should be based mostly on results, but taking a break shoud be taken into account, and if you look at his results, he may have been very slightly underseeded, but a lot more foreign players than usual will be there, and the top seeds seem mostly reasonable
You cant factor in "breaks" in practice, only break from attending tournaments (which I have not had that long of lol). Otherwise I could just lie and say ive practiced

Of course it's a short break, but in the game's lifespan it's a long time. Also this was worded poorly, I meant that you clearly really focused on Melee for a while, so you couldn't play Ultimate as much

That’s just unjustly targeting players who play melee and ultimate. Leffen was the 70th seed and got 17th at genesis. Wizzrobe got seeded extremely low at smash n splash and got 7th. Yes they don’t attend much but the results prove they’ve earned their seeds already
