Even if you are generous with the % and give fox a better/closer to even chance to win, no way to say marth doesn't win with FD in a bo5. I think your choice to pick up a 2ndary is justified

Our locals have been running frozen stadium/fd as a counter pick recently. Do you think that format affects the match up?

Frozen PS helps Marth. It's the jankiness that allows Fox to 1. Survive longer by tech'ing the walls/windmill 2. stunting Marth's movement and range 3. Opening up to a wider range of combos for fox, including infinites.

Marth is often weakest when being top platform camped, since he has limited vertical mobility and aerials that are laggy in the air the PS platforms are a REALLY good height for Marth, not as good as FD, but this is literally the best platform layout for Marth
